TGB Holds Special Meeting to Seek RFP's for Forensic Audit

On May 16, 2025, The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Governing Board (LCO TGB) convened a special meeting to address the need for increased financial accountability and transparency within tribal operations.


The meeting was called to order at 10:04 a.m. by Chairman Louis Taylor. Board members present included Vice-Chairman Tweed Shuman (via phone), Michelle Beaudin, David Scott Bisonette, and Don Carley. Secretary/Treasurer Bill Trepanier and Board Member Gary “Lil Guy” Clause were not present.



Following the approval of the meeting agenda, the LCO TGB unanimously passed a motion to draft and publish a Request for Proposals (RFP) to initiate a forensic audit. The audit will examine all Tribal Governing Board expenditures over the past four years, including those related to the Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG).


The motion to proceed with the forensic audit was made by Vice-Chairman Tweed Shuman and seconded by Board Member Don Carley. The vote passed unanimously, 4-0-0.


The meeting was adjourned at 10:14 a.m. following a motion by Michelle Beaudin, seconded by David Scott Bisonette. The motion passed unanimously.
