Lac Courte Oreilles Community Health Center Unveils New Facility

The Lac Courte Oreilles Community Health Center (LCO CHC) celebrated the grand opening of its new $45.5 million, 64,000-square-foot healthcare facility, located near Sevenwinds Casino.
The event featured a Feather Pole Ceremony, Eagle Song by the War Thunder Drum Group, and flag-raising by the LCO AMVETs, with an invocation offered by Gary Quaderer, Sr.
LCO CHC Director Scott Johnson welcomed attendees and expressed gratitude to those whose vision and perseverance helped bring the project to life. Acknowledgements were extended to both current and former Tribal Governing Board members, the Health Center Advisory Board, and key individuals including Administrative Assistant Kaylee Trepanier, Tribal Consultant Glenn Hall, Interim CFO Ernest Vargas, Jr., former LCO CHC staff members Director Gary Girard, Billie Jo Taylor, and Marcus Carley.
“All of our directors and staff deserve recognition,” Johnson noted. “Their dedication ensured continuity of care and support to our patients during the transition was fantastic.”
The state-of-the-art facility provides expanded services in medical, dental, pharmacy, optometry, urgent care, and behavioral health. “Highlights include 16 exam rooms, 12 dental suites, a larger pharmacy with a drive-up window, and cutting-edge radiology equipment,” said Kaylee Trepanier LCO CHC administrative assistant.
The celebration marked a major step in strengthening community health and wellness for future generations.
