Are you ready for some football fun?
It’s time to show off your football knowledge and play in the 2nd LCO News NFL Challenge Pick ‘Em Madness each week, leading up to the halfway point of the 2021 season where in Week 8, a champion will be crowned. There can be only one champion. Will it be you?
Over Week 1 and Week 2, everyone will be welcome to submit their picks in the qualifying rounds. Simply pick the winners of each game and earn the most points. Each game of the week will be assigned a certain amount of points based on difficulty of picking the winner. After two weeks, the top 64 participants will enter into the March Madness-style bracket playoff which will take place from Week 3 through Week 8.
During the playoffs and the march towards the Final Four, the field of 64 will play in heads up matches based on a seeding from the two qualifying rounds. The top 64 point earners will be randomly drawn into eight groups of eight and then seeded one through eight based on their total points in the first two rounds.
Week 3 will be the field of 64. Week 4 will be the field of 32 and then the Sweet Sixteen in Week 5. The Elite 8 will pick ‘em in Week 6. The Final Four will participate in Week 7 and the Championship Match up will pick ‘em in Week 8.
Each challenge participant who reaches the Final Four will receive a prize package to be announced next week; and then the two finalists will win additional prizes to be announced with the Champion winning even more!
