8 Advance to General Election After Primary Held on Saturday

A Primary Election was held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, to narrow down a field of 27 candidates for Tribal Governing Board. The top eight candidates advanced to the General Election to be held on June 21 at which time, the top 3 will be chosen to serve a four-year term, while the fourth spot will serve out the remaining two years of a four-year term from 2023.


The seat in question was won by Kelly Nayquonabe in 2023, but resigned after several weeks in office, at which point David Bisonette was appointed because he was the fifth-place finisher in that election.


Taking the top 8 spots were Jordan St. Germaine, Don Carley, Randy Cadotte, Louis Taylor, Lorraine Gouge, David Bisonette, Janet Quaderer and Sirella Ford. They will advance to the General Election on June 21.


The Official final results for the Primary Election held on May 8 with voting at New Post and Tribal Office are as follows;
