LCOOCC Hosts Seven Generations Inter-Tribal Leadership Summit - October 3rd and 4th

Submitted by Amber Marlow, LCOOCC

Dean of Continuing Education

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College is excited to host a first of its kind, inaugural Seven Generations Inter-Tribal Leadership Summit October 3 – 4 in partnership with the College of Menomonee Nation and the University of Wisconsin system. The Summit will provide a forum for tribal leadership, educators, students, elders and community members to learn from educators and industry professionals in 4 key areas: Education, Economic and Workforce Development, Environment, and Health and Safety. Event page: https://www.lco.edu/sevengensummit

Invitations have been extended across the region – Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota – and to some of the First Nations of Canada.

I invite you to attend this innovative event. Registration is $199 per person, (free for students and elders). Additionally, two optional evening outings are also being offered – golf and a tour of the Chippewa Flowage by pontoon – at an additional cost of $30 per person.

Lastly, there are opportunities for organizations to table and for artists to participate in a marketplace.

I look forward to seeing you at the Summit,

Amber Marlow, LCOOCC
