LCO Health Center Announces Closure Dates for July 4th Holiday

The LCO Health Center will be closed from Thursday, July 2 through Monday, July 6 for the Fourth of July holiday. Clinic Director Dr. Gary Girard announced the closure dates to give the clinic staff a much-needed rest as they have been working very hard to address the Covid-19 response.

"During this time they were not allowed to take any time off as we have been working with an ‘Essential Staff’ providing ‘Urgent/Emergent’ care. With the expiration of the tribal emergency declaration, we recently called back our entire staff as we are planning a soft opening on July 7th," Girard explained.

Girard noted the patient load at the clinic will increase 25%.

During the closure the clinic will be doing a deep cleaning of all carpeting and soft material furniture in preparation for the soft opening.

"Please remember to wear face masks when within 6 feet of others and follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing and hand washing. During this time, in an emergency, James Strunk will be available to provide pharmacy as he will be on call. Additionally, all appointments will be rescheduled," Girard said.
