The Northwoods Humane Society has funds remaining from a grant two years ago that provided free spay and neutering, rabies vaccinations, dog licensing and medical supplies. The NHS is encouraging LCO Tribal Members to call 715-634-5394 to get an application for the voucher program. The voucher is available to members who have lower income.
"We have money left and we want to make sure everyone who wants their pet to be spayed or neutered can have that happen," NHS Board Member Linda Graham explained.
The NHS hours are weekdays 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Simply call during those hours, tell the staff you are a tribal member and need an application to receive a voucher.
