First Nations Community Financial Launches New Business Program Across Wisconsin

Black River Falls, Wis - On March 1, 2023 First Nations Community Financial launched their new and innovative business program across the state of Wisconsin. First Nations Community Financial is a Native CDFI, also known as Native Community Development Financial institution, and operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The mission is to deliver exemplary services by providing financial education, training, and access to capital to support sustainable business and community development while improving the quality of life within Wisconsin Native communities. First Nations Community Financial was a recipient of two Wisconsin Department of Administration grants; Diverse Business Investment Grant, and Diverse Business Assistance Grant. The grand total is $2.85Min grant funds used to create programs, services, supports and resources for Native entrepreneurs in the state of Wisconsin. The Wooruwi Business Program The program has been coined, the Wooruwi Business Program which is unique in the respect that it provides the traditional business loan to businesses in various phases; start-up phase, development phase, growth phase, and expansion phase. Where the program differentiates itself from the others in the state of Wisconsin is that First Nations Community Financial incorporates a technical assistance plan. Once our clients reach their business goals in their custom plan (based on 6-months) may be eligible for up to 50% loan forgiveness. The Wooruwi Business Program is open to any Native American residing in the state of Wisconsin that wishes to start or develop their business. Benefits of the Program The primary benefits of the Wooruwi Business Program includes pre-funding services which include free Native-American focused business courses, solidifying your business idea, conducting market research, developing your financial statements, and assistance writing your business plan. Once a client is funded by First Nations Community Financial, a technical assistance plan is established to help shore up areas that need the most improvement and get set up with a business mentor to work on sharpening business skills.
