A Message from LCO Health Center Director

LCO Health Center wants everyone to know:

On March 17, 2020, the LCO TGB made a Declaration of Emergency to address the Covid-19 Health Concern.

In order to reduce the spread of the disease, the clinic has reduced to essential services and staffing. The clinic is open and responsive for urgent health care needs in all departments including, provider visits, podiatry, radiology, dentistry, lab, pharmacy, community health, chiropractic, etc. Providers will be making decisions on level of care needed. If urgent, you will be seen, if it can wait we are scheduling those visits accordingly. Our MRI service is here when needed to address urgent care as well. We have set up a curb side testing for Covid-19 for those screened at the Hayward Hospital Hot-Line @715-934-4518. We have also set up a curb side service for Pharmacy Pick-up and diabetes reading. Please call the clinic for Pharmacy Pick-up and Diabetes check.

We are developing a plan to return to normal operations when the Emergency Declaration ends and we will follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines in this regard. The first step is to gather research to support decision making at the clinic level. We are scheduled to get testing for Covid-19 next week and will setup a plan based on the number of tests we receive. We will save some of the tests to plan in case of a surge of the disease but will be testing soon. Community members will be notified in advance of the testing which will be community based as well as curbside at the clinic.

Please continue to stay at home when possible and utilize social distancing. Stay safe and well.

Dr. Gary J. Girard

LCO Health Center Director
