Tribal Community Asked to Participate in Homeowner Assistance Survey

The Tribe will receive a funding allocation for the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) which was established under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. This money can be used for certain eligible purposes for those homeowners experiencing financial hardship. The Tribe will use the survey results to develop a plan to meet the needs of the LCO community with HAF & other possible funding resources. What is HAF? The Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) was established under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021. HAF was established to address financial hardships associated with the coronavirus pandemic by providing funds to eligible homeowners to prevent mortgage delinquencies, defaults, foreclosures, loss of utilities or home energy services. HAF can also help prevent displacements of homeowners experiencing financial hardship after January 21, 2020.
