How do tribal members who live out of State apply for a proxy pick up of the recently announced $500 assistance check? Will an application be provided for a proxy family member to be able to pick up the check in person for those who live out of State, as was done for the last distribution?

The Tribal Governors need new Boats and RV's for Christmas. The unclaimed Out of State members who can't get there to receive their checks will be paying for the new Boats and RV's (All by design)

Fed Ex wants $126.00 to send my notarized proxy pick up authorization documents to a second party in Wisconsin to pick up my check. Getting it notarized cost me an additional $15.00. It will cost a relative another $70.00 in fuel to drive to the Res, and hope (pray) the check will be available for pick up when he arrives. (Admin. Lunch breaks, Coffee breaks etc.). Thanks for making it convenient for Out-of-State Tribal family to get their checks! Any chance you could send it in the mail with my Christmas check, or my Birthday check, or my Senior Check, or even with the second assistance check which will be mailed to everyone who cannot be present in person? …

If the second assistance check can be mailed to those who live out of State and cannot claim their checks in person, why couldn't the first set of assistance checks be mailed out to those Tribal members that cannot pick them up because they live out of State ?

I went down once already. I updated my id, my check wasn't even ready. I was on the list but it wasn't in the stacks. They told me a week maybe it will be ready. I think if someone is traveling to pick up, and do so they should have an option to check to see if the check will be there. It's not guaranteed to be there. So just make sure all of your information is up to date if you can. I can't imagine not having any cash and getting there and not having a way back. I've had the same address for 6 years.
