LCO Ojibwe School Welcomes New Principal and Other Staff

Jeff Gordon K-12 Principal

Jeff Gordon is a fully licensed school administrator in the state of Wisconsin and comes to LCO with more than 15 years of experience as a principal and adminstrator in the Bayfield School District, where he worked with a population of majority Ojibwe students. He also brings experience working with other tribal schools and communities in Oneida and Milwaukee. Jeff is an enrolled member of the Red Cliff Band of Ojibwe and has a background in physical education and coaching and brings a wealth of knowledge regarding curriculum development, teacher mentoring and trauma informed practices. Mr. Gordon’s first day will be Monday, September 26th.


Tucker Huvde Middle and High School Special Education

We are excited to welcome Mr. Huvde to the instructional team at Lac Courte Oreilles. Tucker is a graduate of UW-Stout and is certified in Cross Categorical Special Education. Mr. Huvde has experience working with a wide range of students and brings exciting teaching strategies and techniques to Lac Courte Oreilles. Mr. Huvde’s first day was September 6th.


Mark Ojibway K-12 Culture

Mark comes to LCO with an Associate Degree in Natural Resource Management from the LCO University and decades of experience in protection and harvesting of Ojibwe natural resources. Mark is an enrolled member of the Red Cliff Band and has been living and working at Lac Courte Oreilles for a number of years. Mark’s first day will be Monday, September 26th.
