Attention Parents, staff members, students, and community members:
Due to the planned phase II heating, ventilation, air handling and cooling upgrade that will be taking place over the summer of 2024 the end of the 2023-2024 school year is being moved forward by two and a half school days. This change is able to take place due to the adjustments that were made to the high school and middle school master schedule for the second semester, as well as to the lack of a significant number of weather-related school closings. This change is intended to keep the project on target for a regular start to the 2024-2025 School Year on August 26th, 2024. The new calendar will be as followings:
May 17th-Powwow to recognize graduates, Honor the Earth Powwow Grounds May 21st, 2024-Last day for graduating seniors.
May 23rd, 2024-Last day for all students.
May 24th, 2024-Kindergarten Graduation 9:00 am, 8th grade Promotion 10:30 am, High School Graduation 12:00.
May 28th, Last day for staff.
Summer School programming will only be taking place for high school credit recovery during the month of June and will be located in the Middle School Modular Building.
During the summer of 2024 the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School will be closed to the public with the exception of the summer meal program through the Boys and Girls Club, the athletic departments weightlifting program, and the Honor the Earth Pow Wow July18-21st. The administrative and accounting staff will be working a reduced onsite schedule, will be closed Fridays and will be temporarily housed in the Middle School building.
