Health Center to Hold Flu Shot Clinic on Thursday

By Gary Girard

LCO Health Center Director

This year the Lac Courte Oreilles Community Health Center will be holding a walk through flu shot clinic on Thursday October 15th from 1-6pm. We have our whole team on board this year so I think it will run pretty smooth but please, be prepared to wait. We have always gone to different sites around the community so this is a little different having everyone come here. Please remember we need to practice social distancing so we will all need to work together so all who come will leave having gotten their flu shot.

Studies have shown that when people who receive their flu shot are in a happy mood they acquire a higher level of immunity. So, keep this in mind!!! Our staff will do everything we can to make this a pleasant experience. We have Subway Sandwich or a Gas gift cards for the first 200 (tribal affiliated) people receiving their flu shot.

*So, mark your calendar for October 15th from 1-6pm here at the Lac Courte Oreille Community Health Center

*At the time of this article, the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommends vaccination be deferred for persons with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, regardless of whether they have symptoms, until they have met the criteria to discontinue their isolation in order to diminish risk of spread to others at sites of vaccination. If you have any questions please call 715-638-5100.
