Food 4 Kids Program Available to Students in Local Schools

ATTENTION PARENTS: If your child attends one of the Hayward public schools, LCO schools, St. Francis Mission School or Northern Lights Christian Academy and will need weekend food assistance this school year, now is the time to sign up for the Hayward Community Food Shelf’s Food 4 Kids School Year program. Informational sheet/permission slips are available through the schools and their websites and Facebook pages as well as the Food Shelf’s website and Facebook page and other online posts.

The Food 4 Kids School Year Program for 2023-2024 will begin September 15. The purpose of the program is to provide food for your school age child during the weekend when school breakfasts and lunches are not available. The food is at NO COST to the parent or student. Completed registration forms should be submitted to the student’s school.

F4K is part of the Hayward Community Food Shelf’s (HCFS) program of providing food assistance to those in need. This program is in addition to the general program offered each month to families. Like all HCFS programs, this program is funded totally through donations and operated totally by volunteers.

Questions about the program may be directed to the Hayward Community Food Shelf at 715-634-4237 (hcfs) or haywardfoodshelf@centurytel.net.

Donations to help defray the cost of the program may be sent to the Hayward Community Food Shelf at PO Box 779, Hayward, WI 54843 or by credit card through the website (haywardfoodshelf.net).
