Brian Bisonette was appointed to the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors District 9 to fulfill the term of Susie Taylor who was elected last year. Taylor resigned because she recently moved out of the district. Bisonette served six years (three terms) in this same seat on the board prior to Taylor being elected.

The District 9 seat represents Bass Lake Township Wards 3 and 4 which extends over a large portion of the LCO Reservation.

Bisonette was appointed by Sawyer County Board Chairman Tweed Shuman and will serve out the term until April of 2022. Bisonette is currently the LCO Conservation Director and is a former LCO Tribal Governing Board member who served as LCO Secretary-Treasurer.

Shuman is looking for anyone interested in serving on the board to fulfill the term of the late Troy Morgan, who recently passed. Morgan represented District 4 which extends on the east side of the Town of Hayward across Chippewa Trail, Airport Road, River Road and Wheeler Road areas.

Anyone who is interested and lives in Town of Hayward, Wards 3 and 4, and is 18 years of age, should send a resume and letter of interest to Board Chairman Tweed Shuman at tweed.shuman@sawyercountygov.org
