Big Fish Has Great Re-opening with Warm November Weather

By Al Kiwazek

Big Fish Interim Manager

I just wanted to give a quick update on Big Fish Golf Course and some results of re-opening of the course and how our Black Friday Holiday event went. As you know with temperatures in the 50’s we re-opened the course Nov 13-18. During this opening, we had golfers from Ironwood, Duluth, Superior, Minocqua, Spooner and other nearby towns.

The opening generated almost 250 rounds and $9,000 in golf and cart fees. In addition we did have Lovin Country Sunday Nov 12. We had a great turnout and after paying the band and payroll that day we actually, for the first time having a Sunday band, came out ahead $150.00. We’ve never come close to breaking even.

Our Black Friday and Holiday sale will continue to run through December 31st. All remaining clothing, hats, shoes and gloves are 60% off. The sale has been doing well since it started last Friday. Items are selling fast.

Our Indoor Golf Simulator leagues will start December 6th. There is still time to get signed up. We’ll also be having tournaments over the winter as well. Currently all 2024 golf members are receiving 50% discount off the hourly rate of $50 per hr. Yes that is an unbeatable rate of $25!
