Baseball Night at LCO This Tuesday as LCO Hosts two Doubleheaders

Updated: May 31, 2021

By Joe Morey News Editor and VP of the LCO Youth Baseball Association

All five LCO Youth Baseball teams have been practicing and playing with a lot of heart this season. LCO has two B teams (ages 6-9) and two A teams (ages 9-12) in the Southern Sawyer County Little League and a Babe Ruth (ages 13-15) team in the North Division of the Heart of the North Conference.

The LCO Community will be treated to a night of baseball on Tuesday, June 1st as the two A teams will play some doubleheader action facing off against each other at 4:30 and then hosting two home games at 6:30 with the A1 team hosting Birchwood and the A2 team hosting Ojibwa.

In the photos below you'll see players from both the A teams practicing together on a Saturday afternoon in anticipation of their heads up match to be played on Tuesday night at the ball fields.

In the photos you'll also see several parents assisting in the practices. There are so many parents to acknowledge this year for stepping up for all these kids and they are going above and beyond for their children. There's one parent though that deserves some special recognition for all her hard work, not only as the manager of the concession stand that raises funds for LCO Youth Baseball, but also all the other work she has done as a volunteer. This Tuesday, Chuxie Barrows will once again be prepping the food for a successful evening as Little League plays three games. The food menu is down below the photos. The stand will feature fry bread, tacos, burgers, chili, pizza, hot dogs, brats and a whole lot of munchies for the kids. Whether you are part of the baseball or not on Tuesday, anyone in the community is more than welcome to come and get some awesome food and support LCO Little League.

In addition to the baseball action and great food on Tuesday, the LCO Youth Baseball Association will be holding their big Raffle drawings for two $1,000 winners! You can still get your ticket into the drawing at the concession stand during the games.
