Appication for $1,000 Utility Support Payment

The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Governing Board ("TGB") will be providing a Family Economic Support Payment to LCO Tribal Member households located within the Tribe's Service Area (within the exterior boundaries of Sawyer County).

This Economic Support Payment is for Propane, Natural Gas and Electric services only. A benefit is permitted for each tribal household up to a maximum of $1000 for services. Wood Stoves or homes using wood heating are not eligible for this payment, for liability concerns.

Tribal members with a primary residence located on the reservation or within Sawyer County are eligible for this one-time benefit. A complete application is required in order to receive this payment. WHEAP eligibility does not impact the eligibility for tribal members under this program.

The Economic Support Payment will be made directly to the local energy vendor(s). Applications must include the name of the tribal member, the address of the residence, the utility account numbers and proof of income. This is limited to one benefit per Tribal Member/per household/residence. Multiple applications for multiple vendors or multiple residences will delay application. No exceptions are permitted. Fraudulent applications resulting overpayments or multiple payments outside the stated limits are subject to collections and a suspension of further eligibility.

Applications are due by December 1, 2022, only completed applications shall be considered. Applications are available on the LCO Tribal Website or the Tribal Office lobby.
