On Monday, August 3, officials from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) informed the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Governing Board (TGB) they found no findings and everything was good after conducting an audit of the Tribe’s 2017 employment tax filings.
Jeanette Ross, the Tribal Governments Specialist for the IRS, stated after completing a Summary of Employment Tax Examination, she was pleased to inform the Tribe she was proposing no changes to the Tribe’s tax returns.
Last year in August, the Tribe received no findings following an audit of LCO Financial Services. At that time, Ross reported to the TGB all required filings have been met for LCO Financial Services.
“In my 30 years working with the IRS, this was one of the most organized and easy to follow reviews I’ve done,” Ross added.
