Information of the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe
In October, the LCO Fish Hatchery began stocking area lakes with walleye fingerlings. LCO Conservation Director, Brian Bisonette, announced they had stocked 43,114 fish in five lakes. The average fingerling was 7.4 inches, up from 7.1 last year.
Totals stocked in the lakes were as follows; Lac Courte Oreilles 24,739; Chippewa Flowage 9,780; Gurno Lake 860; Indian Lake 1,132; Windfall Lake 6,603.
