New LCO Ojibwe School Principal Introduces Himself to the Community

Updated: Aug 6, 2021

Brad Cody

LCO K-12 Principal

Boozhoo,

I’d like to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Brad Cody and I will be the new K-12 principal here at LCO. For some of you I am not new, I taught and coached here at LCO when I first started teaching. I have been teaching in the Bruce School District the past 21 years. I am very excited to come back to be a part of the LCO community.

I have been married to my wife Summer for 27 years. We have two children, Karleigh (25) and Karter (23). Both our children were born while we taught here at LCO. We have two grandbabies born last winter, Bia Jean to Karleigh and her husband Jake and Bryce-Bradley to our son Karter and his wife Mack.

We have many new and exciting things going on here at LCO. We have entered the Indianhead Conference and will start this fall with cross-country and volleyball. This a great opportunity for our athletes and school as a whole. We are also expanding the weight room through our many construction projects. This will allow for more space and equipment. We also have two new buildings with much needed space for our students in our middle school and Waadookodaading. There are many other projects going on the campus as well.

I am hoping to meet many of you at our school Open House August 19th from 3 to 5 P.M. We are looking forward to a great school year with many events on the schedule.
