From the Facebook Page of Event Organizer, Amanda Scheel: It’s been amazing to see the outpouring of love from my LCO community in hosting Levi Horn who came out here from Spokane, Washington to meet with ALL of the kids in the community. Seven schools and the Boys and Girls Club down, one school to go today, in addition to a revisit to the Hayward Middle School. Our kids need more of this, but I am happy to be a part of this good work that is happening. The LCO Tribal Council put a traditional meal on for our guest and gifted him two beautiful quilts as well as some other local goodies. Winter School also sent some wonderful gifts. Special thank you to our councilwomen, Michelle Beaudin and Lorraine Gouge, who came out to speak at the schools and represent our tribe. Thanks to Kathy Diamond for the wonderful meal she prepared and Terri Miller for organizing and setting up, and Rose Wilson for completing the tons of paperwork!
