The 6th Annual Harvest Feast and Open House was held at the LCO College UW-Extension Agricultural Research Center on Thursday, October 18th.
Each year the community is invited to come to the farm and take a tour, play games, enjoy food and cake and take a hayride, but this year was a little more special because they did a prayer and blessing for a new building constructed to replace the former one that tragically burned down two years ago.
The new building houses a commercial kitchen where community members can use if they sign up. It was described as being available if, for example, someone came up with a new cranberry sauce and needed a place to prepare it for resale. There will also be cooking classes that are scheduled to take place in the future.
