Alexander Koehler, grandson of Ted Gokey and great-grandson of Ben and Katie Gokey, graduated from Medical School in June 2020. Alex graduated from high school in 2007 and immediately enlisted into the US Marine Corps where he served as a Scout Sniper. He completed two tours in remote areas of Afghanistan where he was decorated with the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with valor. Alex received his undergraduate degree in microbiology and molecular chemistry at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2015. He was accepted into the Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He is now a Family Medicine Resident Physician in Beavercreek, Ohio.
