Bob Dykstra of the Boys and Girls Club of Lac Courte Oreilles won the Native Spirit Award for this region.
Club Director Heather Peterson made the announcement through their Facebook page.
"Such an honor to be able to nominate our very own Bob Dykstra for the Native Spirit Award. Bob won within our region! The Native Spirit Award is the highest honor Native Services awards to local Club Staff. I can not think of anyone more deserving. Bob has been a staple at our Club for over 16 years. Bob is the most selfless, considerate, and kind person I know. Not only has he been instrumental in our organizations growth, he is also an outstanding community member! He is always willing to lend a helping hand and help improve the lives of those around him. Miigwech Bob for all you do! We appreciate you beyond words!"
