Community Members Asked to Participate in 30-day Health and Fitness Challenge

Submitted by Shannon Krizan

Health Coach, LCO Health Center

We at the LCO Community Health would like to invite all community members to participate in a 30 Day Health & Fitness Challenge starting Tuesday, Sept. 15. This is a great opportunity to get involved in something positive for our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health as we continue dealing with the negative impacts of Covid 19. We understand everyone has a different definition of health and fitness along with different ways of achieving their goals. This challenge will not specify what type of exercise/activities to participate in, but instead will focus on the amount of time spent doing them. These exercises/activities are not specific to a gym or fitness center which will allow everyone an opportunity to participate in this challenge.

Community members who wish to participate will need to sign a release of liability, along with picking up a 30 day tracking sheet. The release of liability needs to be signed the day you pick up the 30 day tracking sheet, the tracking sheet will need to be filled out and returned by Monday, Oct. 15. Both the release of liability and the 30 day tracking sheets will be available at the main entrance of the Health Center. If you have any questions feel free to call the clinic and ask for Shannon, the Health Coach.

There will be a drawing to determine first, second, and third place prize winners. Participants will get their name put into a drawing for every 15 minutes of exercise/activity performed. For example, a participant who rides bike for 45 minutes will get their name put into the drawing 3 times. The winners who are drawn will get their choice from the prizes below. The prizes consist of a home exercise bike valued at $300, a Fitbit Versa Lite Smartwatch valued at $125, and a Fitbit Inspire valued at $70.
