18 Accept Nomination, Vie for 3 Seats on Tribal Governing Board

18 of the 25 tribal members nominated at the Nomination Caucus for LCO Tribal Governing Board held on Saturday, April 10th have accepted their nominations within the 3-day window to accept in writing to the Election Committee. Those 18 candidates will now square off in the Primary Election on May 8th.

This list consists of those who have accepted their nomination and the order they will appear on the ballot:

8) Louis Taylor

9) Mary Irene Wolf

12) Sirella Ford

13) James Schlender Jr

14) Wade Bowling

15) Gary Belille Jr

16) Rebecca St Germaine

17) Daylene Sharlow Gokey

18) Don Carley


This is not the official ballot list yet as the candidates have to go through a background check for any felony or election fraud crimes.


The six persons on the ballot who receive the most votes will advance to the General Election where they will square off for the three open seats on the TGB currently held by incumbents Chairman Louis Taylor, Don Carley and Tweed Shuman.

The 2021 General Election is set for Saturday, June 19th. The three persons elected will serve a four-year term till 2025.


About 100 tribal members attended the Caucus at the Sevenwinds Conference Center.
